Prerequisites
If not already done so, create an account on Google Search Console.
1. Select property type
Go to Google Search Console. Select "URL prefix" and enter the project URL. Click "Continue".
2. Verify ownership
Select HTML tag option.
- Copy the meta tag and paste into the HEAD of
index.html. - Build and deploy your project.
- Once deployed, click the Verify button.
- A message will appear: Ownership verified. Click Go to property.
3. Inspect URL
On the property page, add the url of your project homepage into the URL Inspection input field, and press return.
4. Request Indexing
Message: URL is not on Google. Click REQUEST INDEXING. An Indexing Requested message will appear. It will take a few days for the page to be indexed. Repeat the process with other pages on your site.
